As a Montana District Court Judge, my guiding principle would be simply to apply the law fairly and independently , and with respect for every person that enters the courtroom.

My years as a prosecutor have given me a deep understanding of how the justice system affects real people- victims seeking accountability and defendants entitled to due process, law enforcement carrying difficult responsibilities, and families whose lives are changed by court decisions. That experience has taught me the importance of careful preparation, thoughtful listening, and measured decision making.

I believe that a district court judge  must be firm but fair, enforcing the law without favor or prejudice. The District Court must be guided by the Constitution and statutes and not politics.

A judge must be prepared and efficient, ensuring cases move forward without  unnecessary delay.  A judge must maintain a courtroom where all parties are heard with dignity and respect.

Justice requires more than knowledge of the law -it requires judgement, humility, and appreciation for the consequences of every ruling. My commitment is  to serve the people of Montana with integrity, impartiality, and unwavering respect for the rule of law.
